The Element 5 Hub is compatible with Thunderbolt 5, Thunderbolt 4, Thunderbolt 3, USB4, USB4 v2, and USB-C devices. This also includes USB-C or Thunderbolt iPads, iPhones, Windows tablets, and more*.
Featuring 4x Thunderbolt 5 ports, 3x USB-A (10 Gb/s) ports, and 2x USB-C (10Gb/s), the Element 5 Hub offers powerful connectivity in a small package. The power supply included with the Element 5 Hub is 42% smaller than the previous generation, making it better to travel with than ever.
On macOS, the Element 5 Hub can connect up to dual 6K or 8K 60Hz extended displays on Macs with dual display support over a single Thunderbolt connection. (M4 Thunderbolt 5 Macs do not support triple displays via a single Thunderbolt 5 connection).
On Windows Thunderbolt 5 PCs, the Element 5 Hub can support up to 3 external extended displays as long as the PC supports this configuration. Windows Thunderbolt 4 PCs can connect up to 2 extended displays pending support from the computer.
When it comes to power delivery, the Element 5 Hub can charge devices at up to 90W, and thanks to the included 180W power supply, the hub can constantly provide this power, unlike with other hubs. The downstream Thunderbolt 5 ports can provide up to 15W, and the USB ports can supply up to 7.5W of power at all times. The offline charging functionality of the Element 5 Hub allows users to charge all of their devices even when the hub is not connected to a host computer.
*Users on Thunderbolt 3, Thunderbolt 4 and USB-C host computers, tablets, or phones will see reduced functionality. Thunderbolt 3 Windows PCs are not supported.
