Apple 45W MagSafe 1 Power Adapter

The genuine Apple 45W MagSafe Power Adapter — the original charger for the pre-2012 MacBook Air. If your old adapter has frayed at the strain relief or stopped charging altogether, this is the correct factory part, not a generic replacement that runs hot and fails early.

This is a brand new open box unit: unused, in as-new condition, with the retail packaging opened for inspection.

The adapter is supplied in either the A1244 or A1374 revision. Both are genuine Apple 45W MagSafe 1 units with identical 14.5V/3.1A output and identical compatibility — they differ only in the shape of the magnetic connector head.

Please Note

  • Open box: the retail packaging has been opened and the item inspected. The product itself is new and unused. Packaging may show minor shelf wear.
  • This is MagSafe 1, the original wider connector. It does not fit MagSafe 2 Macs (MacBook Air and MacBook Pro from Mid 2012 onward) without a MagSafe to MagSafe 2 Converter, and does not fit USB-C or MagSafe 3 Macs at all.
  • 45W is the correct wattage for MacBook Air. It is not sufficient for a 13-inch MacBook Pro (60W) or 15-inch MacBook Pro (85W) — those machines need their own higher-wattage adapter.
  • You can safely use a higher-wattage MagSafe 1 adapter on a MacBook Air, but not a lower-wattage one on a MacBook Pro.
  • Supplied with an Australian duckhead plug.
