After upgrading the SSD, reinstalling macOS is required. Follow these steps to complete the process:

  1. Prepare: Use a Mac running macOS Ventura or later, install Apple Configurator from the App Store, and connect a USB-C cable.
  2. Connect: Turn off the Mac Studio and connect it to the second Mac via USB-C (use the rightmost USB-C port when youโ€™re facing the back of the Mac).
  3. Enter DFU: Unplug power, hold the Power button, plug the power back in while holding for 10 seconds, then release (Mac Studio will appear in Apple Configurator).
  4. Restore: Open Apple Configurator, select the Mac Studio, right-click, and choose Restore, then confirm.
  5. Wait: Allow the process to complete โ€” macOS will automatically reinstall. โœ…
