Expand the capabilities of your Thunderbolt 3-compatible computer system by adding up to three full-length PCIe cards using the Echo Express III-D Thunderbolt 3 HDX PCIe Expansion Card Enclosure from Sonnet. This external desktop aluminium enclosure adds a PCIe 2.0 x16 slot and two PCIe 2.0 x8 slots to your compatible Mac, Windows, or Linux computer system. With support for full-width and full-height non-GPU Thunderbolt 3 compatible expansion cards, you can install up to three single-width PCIe cards or one double-width card alongside a single-width card. The Echo Express III-D is also fully optimised for Avid Pro Tools | HDX PCIe cards, which allows you to install up to three cards for use with the Pro Tools HD software without any additional hardware or configuration.

Connect the enclosure to your computer using one of the two Thunderbolt 3 connectors, which feature 15W power delivery and up to 40 Gb/s throughput. That provides up to 1750 MB/s of bandwidth to installed cards. You can also daisy chain up to five additional devices such as compatible external storage drives and monitors. Additionally, the Echo Express III-D has an integrated 300W power supply with a 75W auxiliary power connector. It is designed to operate quietly and includes a power saving mode that will automatically power down the system when it's not in use.

Full-Size Expansion

The Echo Express III-D desktop enclosure supports up to three full-length (12.28"), full-width, and full-height non-GPU Thunderbolt 3-compatible PCIe expansion cards.

HDX Optimised

The enclosure is designed to work with up to three Avid Pro Tools | HDX PCIe expansion cards with no additional hardware or configuration necessary.

Thunderbolt 3 Connectivity

Two Thunderbolt 3 ports are available, capable of 15W power delivery and transferring data at up to 40 Gb/s, providing installed cards up to 1750 MB/s of bandwidth. You can also daisy chain up to five additional devices.

Powered Up

There is 300W power supply with a 75W auxiliary connector for expansion cards that require extra power. The enclosure is designed to operate quietly and has a power saving mode that will automatically shut down or turn on the enclosure as needed.
