Good value

I got this to replace my dreaded Drobo. Looks well built, fan is quite but the HDDs I put in it are noisy. Not sure whether this enclosure amplifies the HDD spinning and clicking noise but it’s a minor issue anyway. Hopefully it will be more reliable.

This enclosure was chosen as a cost-effective backup option for a legacy home office setup that currently can't take full advantage of Thunderbolt 3 speed. The unit was easy to set up using existing hard drives, is sufficiently speedy (and quiet) in operation, and the hub is a helpful feature for attaching existing peripherals.

Generally works well, however speed very much depends on where your drives fit in the daisy chain. It can slow dramatically if you are using the Storage as a hub device. Also, its really a pity there is not power with, as the drives will not stay in sleep mode for long
