This is a great product and acts as advertised.Solid and does not get hot.
I use it with my Mac Studio and iPad Pro

As the OWC Envoy has a metal casing, it does not warm up. Even at extensive transfers (500 GB copy), it is just warm to the touch. The excellent heat management results in sustained write speeds even over long periods.
