The MacBook Air 2020 M1 we purchased was originally bought in 2021 and is still covered by Apple warranty. Keyboard and screen were perfect and battery life seems to be 100%. So maybe it’s a new battery. Only negative is the top having a noticeable scratch. the bottom having scuffs from a case is expected. Overall very happy and a quantum leap from 2010 MacBook Pro.
