These headphones have been designed to provide superior noise cancellation, leaving a quiet, empty soundstage in which to experience your favorite music. Additionally, they can be used without any musical or audio content when what you need most of all is peace and quiet. The Active Noise Reduction (ANR) circuity uses four microphones to eliminate up to 95% of external noise, giving you the quiet you need to think and concentrate.
Rather than reducing external noise, you can opt to use the bass boost feature, which uses an internal 5-watt amplifier to boost the bass output by 10dB. The headphones can also be used in passive mode, without the ANR or Bass Boost circuitry enabled, which gives you excellent musical reproduction, while allowing you to hear some of the environment around you.
The included, removable 4.6-foot audio cable features an inline controller and microphone. The controller allows you to adjust the volume level, pause/resume playback, advance to the next track, go back to the beginning of the current track or to the previous track, as well as answering and terminating phone calls. It will automatically pause music playback when an incoming call is received and will automatically resume playback when the call is terminated.
The headphones are powered using two AAA batteries (not included), which can power it for up to 20 hours. In addition to the audio cable, it includes a 3.5mm to 1/4" adapter, a flight adapter, and a carry/storage case.
